Minutes of Meeting 6th April 2006

Minutes previous meeting: Proposed by Ali sec by Carol.

Matters Arising: Tool club; It has been found that we have not had adequate insurance for Tool Club and proper rules have not been adhered to i.e. it has been running for the last three years without certain types of insurances. We have made enquires for quotes for the value of £4,500.

Councillors Report: £20,000 has been earmarked for traffic calming measures in Telford Road and Lochalsh Road. Also the widening of Nelson Street. Peter is going to talk with Sammy Lee's agent concerning contributions towards larger car park in Grant Street also the Welfare Hall in Grant Street the development of this is still ongoing. Carnarc Point is no longer to be extended for the yacht marina. Public meeting to be held concerning tenants transfer first or second week in May.

Correspondence: No correspondence received this month.

Police: No report available as P.C. Ali was off duty

Community Warden: Liz has sent her apologies for missing this meeting but has applied for a grant from Children in Need. This would be for taking our local children to Fairburn, cinema, pantomine, wildlife park etc.

Matters Arising: Margaret Ross left a report on the tenants group.

Treasurers Statement: This month our balance is £992.67.

Raymond is at the moment helping three tenants with problems of dry rot etc which have been well overdue to be dealt with.
