MINUTES PREVIOUS MEETING.

Proposed by Vic Rawlins, seconded by Raymound Macdonald.

MATTERS ARISING.

None.

CORRESPONDENCE.

Invitation to Conference 20th November Corbett Centre. Ali and Margaret attending.

Letter was sent to bus company, no reply as yet.

POLICE.

Safe Scotland operation is still on going, good as a whole, fireworks sales end on the 8th Nov. Very difficult to catch offenders with improper use of fireworks. Operation Notebook is still ongoing, foot patrols have increased. A number of vandalism case’s are being dealt with. Neighbour hood watch scheme are we interested? PC Ali to pass us information on it.

REPAIR CO-ORDINATOR.

Vic is very frustrated by the Council. Can contractors repairing broken gutters at the back of a property not fix the front gutters when they are there? But as Ali explained when the Council puts out work to contractors the contractor will only do the work on his work sheet, they cannot be expected to carry out other work on the same property with out authorisation from the Council. The fault lies with the Council for not checking to see if all reported repairs to a property are passed to the contractor as one job. Ali suggested Vic has another meet with Peter Corbett and John Macluskly successor.

COUNCIL.

Jane told us since 4th October there are 9 new tenants in Merkinch.

TREASURERS REPORT.

We have a balance of £541.68 plus £6.00 in the Tool club.

A.O.C.B

The AGM is to be held in January as per the constitution, provisionally the 18th of January.

Loud music! Tenants are sometimes frightened to complain.
Stock transfer is going to be a hot potato over the next two years. We will look into having open meetings in conjunction with the IV3 forum to get information to tenants. Ali stated that it is the job of a residents/tenants group to represent the views of the tenants when they have all the information to make a judgment on the subject, not impose our own.

CLOSE.

The next meeting will be December the 7th at 7.30 pm
