Hi-jobs Expo 08: Careers & Lifestyle Event

Hijobs.co.uk's Expo 08: Careers & Lifestyle event, sponsored by Lifescan Scotland and Bòrd na Gàidhlig, will take place at Eden Court, Inverness on Thursday 20th March from 11am to 8pm. It is open to the public and entrance is free of charge.

Many key recruiters will be attending - including Northern Constabulary, Royal Bank of Scotland, Global Highland, ABC Contract Services, HSBC Bank and Lifescan Scotland and many more. Careers Scotland advisers will be on hand to run a Careers Advice Clinic throughout the day. Local colleges will be well represented - Inverness, Moray, North Highland and Lews Castle - as well as UHI Millennium Institute, Learn Direct Scotland and University of Stirling's Department of Nursing and Midwifery.

For employers, trainers and course providers there will be a free Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) information session from 1pm to 3pm, covering qualifications like English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and four new qualifications that meet the needs of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. At 3.30pm Karen Darke of Graduate Opportunities will be giving an inspirational talk to visitors and at 5pm Angela Paterson, Hijobs' MD, will show how to ace that interview!
