Our Objective

“To promote the wellbeing and benefit of residents and inhabitants of the Merkinch Area of Inverness and its environs by associating with the Local Authority, local groups and voluntary organisations, members, residents and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions and quality of life of the said residents and inhabitants.”

What we do :

• Manage the Community Centre.

 

• Assess the needs of Centre users and assist in articulating and addressing those needs.

 

• Assist with the development of Centre and community groups.

 

• Encourage and enable local people to participate in voluntary work and community effort.

 

• Provide practical information services.

 

• Work with other Community and statutory organisations on common issues and concerns.

 

• Provide opportunities for individuals to develop and become involved in their community.
